Work with the Executive Producers, Head of Production, Sales and Creative teams to help shape creative ideas, develop production approaches, budgets and identify resources for upcoming + potential projects.
Managing bidding and client communications through the pitch phase
Take your awarded projects into production as Line Producer or hand off to another Producer when bandwidth demands.
Tracking expenses and working with your production teams ensuring projects come in on/under budget.
Work cross functionally to ensure all proper finance and expense procedures are followed correctly, Creative and Client expectations are met if not exceeded.
PRODUCTION EXECUTION
Determine the production plan and accompanying budget.
Hire and manage your production teams. Having a deep network of connections is preferred. Source and negotiate rates with crew and equipment vendors
Ensure all staff and production teams are contracted and paid on time
Negotiating with contributors and locations to determine fair compensation
Work with PMs & PCs to confirm all featured contributors/talent are properly released
Ensure risk assessments are completed on each project, which include latest Covid related protocols, and that health and safety are a priority on set
Have oversight over any overtime or meal penalty requests
Read over all insurance policies and keep in mind throughout productions to ensure compliance
Ensure all deliverables are effectively communicated and confirmed with Client, Production and Post EPs. Then relay to your team.
If there is an incident or accident on one of your productions, you will ensure that a proper incident report form has been filled out, and submitted in a timely manner through the proper channels
Control production schedules and keep your supervisor informed as to progress and/or potential pitfalls or overspend
Ensure you’re responsive to and executing upon Creative and Client expectations for the work throughout the project.
ADMINISTRATION
Assist in maintaining and evolving the production folder structure and project organization.
Work with Production Executives on updating our internal production bible, best practices and bringing innovation to the production practice at Stept.
5+ years experience in production, 2+ years Line Producing with on-set experience.
Commercial and/or long-form content production is a plus.
Comfortable managing clients and directors. Being the glue.
Pricing and budget oversight for branded content is a must and a desire to find cost effective solutions
Experience working on branded content
Problem solving mindset, with acumen for negotiations
Development and Post Production experience a plus
Dedication to rooting out issues and finding smart solutions
Experience working in a high volume, fast paced production environment
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Salary range of $95 - 130,000
