Role/Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting or finance career who is interested in gaining experience within the fast-paced world of advertising and branded entertainment, creative, production and post-production.

The Junior Accountant  will assist with core bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, expense tracking, reconciliations, and supporting production accounting needs. This position works closely with the finance team as well as production staff, vendors, and freelancers to ensure accurate and timely financial recordkeeping.

Requirements

Accounts Payable

Process vendor invoices and employee expense submissions

Ensure proper coding of expenses to jobs, departments, and general ledger accounts

Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)

Maintain organized digital records of invoices and receipts

Production Accounting Support

Assist with tracking production expenses across multiple projects

Help reconcile vendor estimates, purchase orders, and final invoices

Work with production teams to collect and verify receipts and expense documentation

Support reconciliation of job cost reports

Collection Efforts

Reconciliation & Record-keeping

Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Monitor incoming vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Financial Administration

Support month-end closing processes

Assist with payroll documentation and freelancer payments when needed

Maintain vendor database and W-9 records

Help prepare materials for audits, tax filings, and financial reporting

Display a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through skills are of the highest importance. 

Knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Showbiz Budgeting,  Hot Budget, Movie Magic or other production accounting software is extremely helpful. 

Be proficient in Excel, Google Sheets and AI Tools.

Previous production accounting experience in either non-scripted or commercials is an advantage, any production/project accounting experience is a plus.

Understanding of US GAAP vs Cash Basis Accounting.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

No prior experience is required.

Salary

Salary range  $23 - 28 p/hour
